I have meant to write about the farmer’s market for ages, but I keep forgetting to take any pics when I’m there.
So here’s the words, and maybe the pics will follow some other time.
Tuesday mornings. All year around. It’s a bit of a local get together and a good food fest too with random crafts and some good individual jewellery.
My favourites are the two cheese stalls – the Cornish Cheddar is expensive, but my god it’s good, Curry Ruby does the best samosas and bajiis, and if there was no chilli relish at the house when you got there then go and buy some from Sarah at the market. The doughnuts are the bomb too!
There’s usually decent veg as you go in, and the coffee is worth stopping for.
The rest I haven’t tried – let me know.
And on the topic of food. Eating in season can be difficult, but get it right and it’s fantastic. I’m kinda hooked on these wonderful British tomatoes from The Co-operative right now (seen posing on my laptop). They are so full of flavour I tend to just eat through a punnet as I might a bunch of grapes.
