The beauty of emptiness. Portheras Beach.

Portheras will always be special to us.

We held our wedding party on the beach many years ago. A gang of friends, champagne and pastys, and my 70 year old dad was the first in the sea.

Today its beauty was magnified by a shifting haze that moved us in and out of bright sunshine.

I particularly loved the times when the horizon no longer existed, sky and sea merged in beautiful shades of grey.

Empty.

Empty.

Rocks.
